The seminar, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will focus on Basic Zoning Law, compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act or SEQRA, and how to prepare a zoning application. Kelly Lester Judges $50K Tech Valley Collegiate Business Plan Competition |

- Attorney Lester was one of the Judges for the first two rounds of the $50K Tech Valley Collegiate Business Plan Competition. Upon review of their business plan entries, the student-finalists were gradually narrowed down to three competitors who will pitch to a panel of venture capitalists at the finals to be held on the evening of May 3 on the RPI campus. Richard Honen Judges Pre-Seed Workshop |

- Richard E. Honen was one of the judges at the Pre-Seed Workshop held on April 13 at the Cornell Business Park in Ithaca, NY. The workshop encourages teams consisting of scientists, business students and entrepreneurs to bring technology out of the lab and into the commercial marketplace. The final step in the workshop's intensive curriculum is to present the business plan to a panel of experts in the field of venture capital. Rich was seated on the expert panel along with principals from two upstate venture capital groups.

- Mr. Honen has been recognized as one of the early players in the legal nanotechnology space, and was featured in an article titled "Firms See Nanotechnology As No Small Innovation", published in the March 10, 2003 edition of the New York Law Journal. The article explores that aspect of Mr. Honen's practice and the growth of nanotechnology in the Capital Region.
